What would be the best choice FUE or FUT
Often when you have more than a single option available when you plan to do something, there is always an element of confusion that hinders you to finalize the decision. If it is a matter of undergoing surgery as important as the hair transplant there is always a chance of stuttering and even more when you know that you have some options available. A couple of decades back people were not all that much aware about that a surgery of hair restoration actually exists but now there would be hardly anyone who is unacquainted with it and does not know how it works.
Nevertheless, there can be some who may not be aware of the options that they have available while undergoing the surgery. For the convenience of such people, the options must be understood in a bit of detail in order to reach a well informed decision. The first option which is quite conventional one for this type of surgery is called FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) or strip method. As the name implies, it involves removal of hairs from the donor area in the form of a strip.
This method well and truly created a new revolution in the surgical world and brought realistic hopes for all those who have been victims of hair loss. It is still in practice and yielding excellent results but there are a couple of drawbacks associated with it. Since it is quite invasive so it leaves a linear scar on the scalp. People who do not fancy undergoing this method can go for FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method. This does not involve any cuts, sutures and no scar is left behind either.
After having some knowhow about the procedures available for hair restoration, the question that strikes you mind is that what would be the best choice, FUE or FUT for hair transplant? One may possibly feel that it is all about choice of the person going for this surgery but this is not actually the case. This very much depends on the hair density in the donor area as well as findings from the surgeon performing it.
