FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction):
FUE is a technique in which your surgeon will extract the follicle units in the form of separate entities or in the form of 1, 2 and 3 groups of hair separately from the donor site of your head or any other part of your body. This process will be done by utilizing small punches in place of scalpel blade; essentially this process does not involve any kind of stitches and scalpel for the extraction of hair from the donor area. These follicle units that are extracted from donor area are then implanted into the balding area of your head where the hair will start to grow after 7 to 8 months. This is also important to notice here that this method is not scar free, patient will see various white spots at the donor area and these are the scars from FUE.
FUT (Follicular Unit Technique):
This process of FUT is also known as Strip Harvesting technique in which a strip of scale is eliminated from the back side of the head by using local anesthesia. This wound is then stitched together and this strip of hair is then cut into small pieces of tissues that are known as grafts. These grafts are the implanted into the thinning or balding area of the head from where the hair starts to grow naturally after 7 to 8 months.
